Feature length documentary film containing dramatised biographical and historical content. The film provide a history of and insight into workings the Workers' Film and Photo League, a little understood national independent film organisation of the 1930s. Using various media archaeology techniques, the film constructs a central biographical character, Jean Ross, who was the founding secretary of the WFPL and also previously the basis for Christopher Isherwood's character Sally Bowles from the novel, 'Goodbye to Berlin'.
The film is scheduled to be shown nationally at various independent cinemas and arts venues and internationally at film festivals. The film will also feature as part of a DVD produced by the BFI.
