My work has featured in the Independent, Guardian, Times Higher, BBC Brasil, BBC Mundo, Folha de São Paulo, Inside Time and Insight Crime.

I have been a discussant on Global Journalist, The World, and TV Democracia. I have presented my research and writing on Latin American prisons at the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security and the United Nations Library-Vienna. 

In 2023, I convened a Convict Criminology symposium at HMP Coldingley, HMP Grendon and HMP Pentonville prisons, and a fourth day at University of Westminster that included presentations from HMP Five Wells and from two prisons in Brazil.
