I am committed to making research accessible beyond academia and building bridges between scholarship and public dialogue.
My podcast Sulla Razza (On Race), has reached diverse audiences and sparked conversations about racism, language and representation in Italy.
I have written for Vice Italy on topics including the use of racial slurs, colourism and systemic racism, aiming to bring critical perspectives to mainstream audiences. I also contributed as a news correspondent for Iran News TV, covering Italian current affairs.
I regularly participate in public talks, panels and workshops across Italy and the UK, addressing issues of migration, anti-racism, and diversity. Recent engagements include:
-Panel discussions at cultural institutions in Rome and Milan on decolonising art and beauty standards
-Educational webinars for secondary school teachers in Italy on discrimination and race
Through these activities, I work to create spaces for difficult conversations about race, belonging and social justice, and to amplify marginalised voices in both academic and public spheres.
