| Description | This is a series of images, inspired by the feature film Gholam, taking an innovative approach to the notion of’ film stills’, which are often photographs of the main character (s) to publicize the film. Instead the work here uses the real locations of the film, yet focusing on the rejected cast, the extras- or depicts the empty landscapes, with an implication of narrative. In this respect the images also differ from the traditional film stills which often portray one or more characters – rarely devoid of people. |
