Description

This exhibition explores how mothers of sons serving life sentences for murder as secondary parties under the doctrine of Joint Enterprise navigate the legal system while undertaking the emotional labour of mothering their children from the outside. Focusing on the collective campaigning efforts of JENGbA (Joint Enterprise, Not Guilty by Association), the work highlights their ongoing fight for justice on behalf of their loved ones. By amplifying voices that are too often unheard, the exhibition invites audiences to engage with the human impact of Joint Enterprise convictions and the enduring resilience of the families affected.
