Pamela Abrams LLB Hons, MA, FHEA
I teach on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the Law School. I was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1991 and later requalified as a solicitor specialising in Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence Litigation. I joined Westminster in 1996. I am a Member of the Law Society of England and Wales and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
My teaching areas, namely tort law, legal ethics, methods and skills and litigation, reflect my experience of legal practice and legal skills. I undertake LLB and LLM dissertation supervision and was previously the Course Leader of the LLM Legal Practice.
I have acted as External Examiner for the University of Law (formerly the College of Law) and CILEX.
I have carried out a number of empirical funded research projects for organisations including The Nuffield Foundation, the Ministry of Justice (formerly the Department for Constitutional Affairs) and The Law Society of England and Wales.
I have taught previously at Birkbeck College and have been a Visiting Lecturer in Civil Procedure at the University of Bordeaux.
