Dr Walaa-Eldeen Bakry


Walaa Bakry is currently the Director of Executive Education at Westminster Business School. He joined the University of Westminster in January 2007. He has more 25 years experience of lecturing and academic management posts. He completed his doctorate in Higher Education Management at the University of Bath. He has held various posts at University of Westminster and previously at Middlesex University, the University of North London (now London Met) and City University. He also gave many guest lectures at Universities in Europe and the Middle East. He carried out many consultancy projects in both the public and the private sectors, particularly in the credit insurance sector. He has written many articles and edited various books in e-learning, project management and Information Architecture. 

Walaa is a chartered Fellow of the British Computer Society (FBCS), a member of the Royal Economic Society and a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). He is a PRINCE2 accredited trainer and holds various project management professional qualifications including MSP, MoR and SCRUM.


Walaa's research interests are in e-learning, International Project Management & Finance, Transitioning Economies and Higher Education Management.
