Dr Michael Enowbi Batuo


Michael Batuo is a senior lecturer at the University of Westminster's Finance and Accounting School. He specialises in macroeconomics, econometrics (panel data analysis), financial development, and African economies. His academic career includes research and teaching positions at the University of Westminster, Royal Business School, and Cass Business School.

Dr Batuo's research has been published in prestigious international journals, including World Development, the European Journal of Comparative Economics, Economics Studies, Journal of Rural Studies, and the Journal of Multinational Financial Management. He also regularly reviews academic journal submissions.

He holds a Ph.D. and M.Sc. in economics from Marche Polytechnic University (Italy) and a B.Sc. in business management and economics from the Sapienza University of Rome.


Michael conducts research in Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Panel Data Analysis, and Financial Development, with a particular focus on African economies. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at international seminars and conferences. He has served as a referee for several international academic journals and worked as a Research Consultant for an international organization.
