Mr Huseyin Dagdeviren


I am a Senior Lecturer in the School of Computer Science and Engineering. I hold a BA (Honours) degree in Business Administration and an MSc degree in Information Systems. I have 20 years of experience in Higher Education with different roles spanning teaching, supervision, course management, and leadership. As well as teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, I am currently the Director of Employability for the School of Computer Science and Engineering.

I am an active member of the University Research Centre for Parallel Computing (CPC). My main research interests focus around the development, use and management of complex Information Systems. I am specifically interested in the application of Cloud Computing, Requirements Engineering, and Strategic Management of Information Systems. In CPC, I have been working on large international research projects. I recently worked on an EU project titled CloudSME (Cloud-based Simulation Platform for Manufacturing and Engineering) project. I am currently working on two EU projects: CloudiFacturing (Cloudification of Production Engineering for Predictive Digital Manufacturing) and DIGITbrain (Digital twins bringing agility and innovation to manufacturing SMEs, by empowering a network of DIHs with an integrated digital platform that enables Manufacturing as a Service)


My main research interests focus around the development, use and management of complex Information Systems. I am specifically interested in the application of Cloud Computing and High Performance Computing, Requirements Engineering, Strategic Planning for Information Systems, and technology-driven Business Models.
