I'm Westminster's Director of Student Enterprise and founder of the Westminster Enterprise Network which supports students to become self-employed, star businesses

I'm also Professor of Creative Enterprise and author of Understanding Media Production (Routledge) as well as journal articles and book chapters on media production including a chapter in  Making Media (eds. Deuze and Prenger)

Previously, I worked for the BBC as Head of Development for Documentary and Specialist Factual, and directed and produced drama, documentary, current affairs, news, arts and entertainment programmes.


Research Grants

  • PI British Council Creative Spark Award 2019-21
  • PI Creative Enterprise Zone, Harrow Consortium (GLA)
  • Principal Investigator for the TSB/Innovate UK funded Radio Connected Research & Development project working with UK Radio broadcasters (such as Radioplayer and Mixcloud) to develop and evaluate new digital platforms for radio.
  • Co-investigator for the AHRC Digital Transformations Research Development Grant 'Community-powered transformations' working with The Tate, The British Library, the BBC and University College London to explore how arts and cultural organisations can use digital media to engage with audiences.
