Louis Spring is a fractional Senior Lecturer in the School of Applied Management. He has been a commercial academic for some three decades working in Computing and Information Technology industry mainly for Software Houses. To date he is involved in higher education pedagogy, including education charities, policing, and the Church of England where he serves the diocese of St Albans and a parish church in Hertfordshire as a Reader and churchwarden.

Louis' research interests; Information Behaviour within higher education specific to the practice of module leaders. Working with educational charities; 'Learning Allowed'; giving pupils and students the freedom to learn in their own way. Working with non-government organisations to develop programs to allow for online education and learning resources - free at the point of use in developing countries in West Africa; making learning a given for all rather than a privilege for a few.
