Fellow and Member of: Market Research Society; Chartered Institute of Marketing; Strategic Planning Society; Institute of Management; Marketing Academy; Institute of Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (Higher Education Academy). Anna is the Deputy Chief Examiner at the Chartered Institute of Marketing for their Diploma Course and is also actively involved with many professional bodies in a variety of capacities.
Anna joined the ranks of University lecturing in 1990, initially guest lecturing on MBA programmes, but from 1992-2003 providing a teaching input into marketing planning and strategy components on numerous postgraduate courses at various Universities both in the UK (such as Birmingham Business School, London South Bank University, University of Westminster) and also overseas (Paris, Brno, Copenhagen, Krakow, Oslo, Stockholm). Anna was also heavily involved in developing and delivering (1998-2002) an innovative MBA in Design Management (joint collaboration between the University of Westminster and The Design Management Institute Boston) through residential forums and a leading edge online learning facility. Since 2003, Anna has a 0.5 appointment at the University of Westminster and continues to freelance with UK Universities, notably CASS Business School, to pursue an interest in strategic charity marketing (which she began at LSBU wherein the first MVA was launched) and also with Scandinavian Universities and their partners in the Baltic States.
Consultancy and professional practice
Anna works as an independent international marketing consultant and researcher. She has worked with variety of commercial, public sector and voluntary organisations (mostly outside the UK) analysing market/marketing opportunities, developing marketing strategies (often for launching new companies/products/services), running management training programmes and carrying out research projects. She is also an experienced facilitator.
Anna began her business career as a medical marketing researcher followed by four years with MRA in South Africa and then in the USA with a subsidiary of BOC before becoming a director of the UK's largest medical market research agency.
