Ms Ochi Reyes

Ochi Reyes is a visual artist and lecturer with an interest in queer and feminist perspectives on the relationship between self and other. Born in Madrid, Ochi studied at the Murcia School of Art before coming to London to complete a BA and an MA in Photographic Arts from Westminster University, graduating in 2010 and 2013, respectively. In their work Ochi explores the ways in which the outside world shapes and imprints itself on the body, interrogating the boundaries between the two. Though always grounded in personal experience and affects, their work speaks to broader themes of identity and culture. Recently, Ochi has turned their attention to the impact of AI technologies on the photographic world, exploring the complexities of this evolving landscape, and understanding how new AI tools contribute to the ongoing discourses surrounding visual culture.

Their work has been exhibited in Europe and the UK, including TATE Modern London, The Photographers Gallery and PHOTOESPAĂ‘A and published in photography review magazines such as SOURCE, 1000 Words Photography or Cien Ojos.
