Dr Kate Ingsa


Dr Ingsa joined the University of Westminster as Visiting Lecturer in 2016 during her PhD at Westminster Business School. Prior to joining the University, Kate worked as a Lecturer at the Department of Public Relations, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Assumption University of Thailand. Kate was working with various national and international organisations during her academic post. She was also an academic member of the Advertising Association of Thailand. 

Kate holds a degree in MA Marketing Communications (Merit) (2010) from the University of Westminster. She began her PhD research in marketing and consumer behaviour at Westminster Business School and graduated in 2019. 

Kate is also experienced in the field of Public Relations and communications in general as she had previously worked at JWT Public Relations Bangkok for a few years before shifting her career path to join the academic community. Her main clients' portfolio include an international telecommunication firm and well-recognised FMCG brands. Moreover, she also worked with Bookmark Content and Communication, a London-based marketing agency, for one of the highly regarded luxury timepiece brands.


Dr Ingsa conducted her PhD research in the field of marketing strategy and consumer behaviour, particularly, in the fashion luxury sector. Her research examined the importance of brand knowledge towards the intention to purchase personal luxury products. Kate's research interest is in luxury consumption, brand heritage, and branding in general.
