Mr Colin Perry
My research interests include documentary film, video art and television. I completed my PhD at University of the Arts, London, in 2016. My thesis examines radical independent film and video production in Britain in the 1970s and 1980s in relation to television and its diverse publics. I have published my research in Moving Image Review and Art Journal and Critical Studies in Television. Recent publications include a chapter in Other Cinemas (I.B.Taurus, 2017). I also publish widely in magazines including Art Monthly, Frieze and ArtAgenda, and have worked as an editor on a range of journals and books. I teach documentary film on the Film, Television and Moving Image MA at Westminster, and also teach on the Culture Curation and Criticism MA and BA at Central Saint Martins, London.
