I am a retired professional Portfolio Manager with over 30 years’ experience, an Executive coach, a University lecturer and an Executive trainer specialising in business and finance, my expertise is in global long/short investments and helping professionals realise their personal and professional goals. For many years I was an Executive Director of Hermes Pensions Management responsible for investing in excess of £8bn in active equities as Head of Global Equities. I then built the third-party Emerging Markets business for Hermes and was an active member of the Global Asset Allocation policy committee. I have been a trustee of a Pension Fund for over a decade, a director of several public companies and was at the forefront of the Corporate Governance revolution in the early 1990’s reporting directly to Alistair Ross Goobey. My passion is to invest in equities, teach, coach and train both students and professionals so that they can achieve the very best for their organisations and for themselves.
My skillset is to help people be the very best they can be. I am agnostic as to how I achieve this but have recently discovered that both educating and coaching in tandem can be helpful in this goal. Inspiring others to achieve their goals through leadership, training, mentoring, coaching, lecturing and teaching.
I have been a PTVL at Westminster University for the past 5 years, helping Module leaders across departments.
