Dr Sam Opio


Sam Opio studied MSc International Economic Policy and Analysis and Doctorate degree (PhD in Economics) at university of Westminster. University of Wales (MSc Finance and Accounting) and University of Sunderland (MBA). Sam completed undergraduate degree in Economics at Makerere University. He has been a member of several professional bodies among them, Royal Statistical Institute, Royal Economic Society, Scottish Economic Society, Institute of Economic Development and a member of Chartered Management Institute (MCMI). Sam became a Fellow of Higher Education Academy after completing Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education (PgCert HE) at University of Westminster.  Currently, he is a Lecturer at the University of Westminster's School of Applied Management.

Sam is interested in supervising doctoral research students particularly in the field of development economics and macroeconomics. He is interested in both Panel Data Analysis and Time Series focusing mainly on developing economies. Those focusing on research topics on project management/management are welcome.
