Dr Amanda Turner

I joined Westminster Business School as a Part Time Visiting Lecturer in February 2022. I have taught on several Sustainability and Marketing modules and have been a Supervisor to students on the MBA degree course.

Outside of my University teaching, I am the Founder and Principal Consultant at Sussex Sustainability, where I advise organisations on reducing their carbon footprint and how to ensure compliance with relevant ESG framework reporting requirements. This involves work for Sustain:able, a growing Sustainability Consultancy focussed on the energy industry. I am also CEO of an Energy Transition start up company, Lir Resources.

In 2021, I completed a short course in Business Sustainability Management from CISL, at The University of Cambridge.

Prior to this I spent the majority of my career in the Oil & Gas industry, working in technical, sales and marketing and business leadership roles within International majors, independent companies and as a Business Consultant. Additionally I completed ten years within the Defence Technology company QinetiQ, working in corporate business leadership, innovation, strategy and M&A roles.

I hold an MBA from Warwick Business School and a PhD & BSc in Geological Sciences from Aston University. I am also a Samaritans Listening Volunteer and Trustee on the board of South Downs Leisure.
