Dr Will Cross

Following graduation from Cardiff University in 2005 I was employed as a Healthcare Scientist within the NHS Genetic Testing Network. I completed a Masters degree in Bioinformatics in 2012, then a PhD in Cancer Genomics and Evolution, and following three postdocs I am now employed as a Lecturer within The School of Life Sciences at the University of Westminster. I am also an Associate Editor for the Journal of Pathology, and an active member of the Pathology Society of Great Britain and Ireland.

My research is centred on cancer and premalignancy and the extraction of biomarkers from big data. I have a specialist interest in cancer evolution and have authored several papers on this topic across different cancer types, including colorectal and gastrointestinal cancers and rare types of sarcoma including chondrosarcoma. I have an active relationship with the Bone Cancer Research Trust and the Chondrosarcoma Foundation.
