Dr Yetunde Olaleye


I joined the University of Westminster as a senior lecturer in Quantity Surveying. I started my academic career as a Lecturer 3 in at Kaduna Polytechnic in Nigeria in 2007  After working in the industry for over 5 years. .I am an experienced Quantity Surveying educator and researcher with a strong track record of teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels across institutions in Nigeria and the UK, where I apply industry-informed, digitally enhanced and student-centred approaches to learning. My expertise spans cost planning, construction economics, measurement, contract administration and the integration of digital tools, and I consistently support high student achievement through effective curriculum design, authentic assessment and targeted mentorship. My research interests include organisational culture, quality assurance and digital innovation in the built environment, and I have published work on entrepreneurial skills, organisational growth and human capacity development. With professional memberships, leadership awards and prior consultancy and site-based experience, I bring a balanced blend of academic expertise, industry practice and collaborative leadership to the advancement of Quantity Surveying education and practice.


My research output spans organisational culture, quality assurance, digital innovation and human capacity development within the built environment and related sectors. I have produced peer-reviewed publications and conference papers that examine themes such as entrepreneurial skills development, organisational growth strategies, and the factors influencing staff performance and service quality. My work also explores the intersection of leadership, workforce development and the adoption of new technologies, contributing evidence-based insights that support both academic discourse and industry practice
