Dr Dalia El-Demellawy


Dr Dalia El-Demellawy is a Part-Time Visiting Lecturer at Westminster Business School (WBS). She holds a BA (Highest Hons) in Business Administration (major) with minors in Computer Science and Economics, an MPA (Highest Hons) in Public Administration and a PhD in Environmental Economics and Management.
Her expertise lies in strategic, performance-focused management accounting and financial application to real-world business situations.
Dalia teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules across finance, accounting, economics, management and marketing at both WBS and Kaplan International.
Before joining academia, Dalia built more than 25 years of banking and finance experience at European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in London and Citibank in Cairo. She is an Associate Chartered Management Accountant (ACMA), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Dr Dalia El-Demellawy’s research interests focus on the relationship between economic growth and environmental policy, with particular emphasis on the effectiveness of international environmental legislations in transition economies.
