Abstract

The unprecedented global expansion of Chinese media and communication networks in Africa over the past decade raises important questions about the changing media landscape in an emerging area. However China is not alone in this endeavour as countries such as India are also deploying their hard and soft power in Africa. This chapter examines the media race for Africa by China and India.
