A 45 minute theatrical play, written and directed by David Moore, using actors to play the couple. Driven by a verbatim script using audio transcripts of interviews with Lisa and John combined with methodologies of devised theatre. The performance created a representational tableaux where ‘theatre models photography’[Joel Anderson] around an axis of historical events, mnemonic conflict and a calling to account of photographic representation. Theatrical transgressions such as having the director playing himself in the audience; a criticism of his ethics,et al were in-built as gestures that re-asserted problematic photographic mechanisms.
