| Abstract | A global survey into the predicted impact on events industry and the stance that some organisation may take over the next 6 to 12 months. The report takes account of the Covid 19 environment and global economic contraction predicted by the International Monetary Fund and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (IMF, April 2020; OECD, June 2020) over the rest of the year. Understandably, there is not much good news. As a service based industry that relies on networks of people meeting in a live environment, the events industry is not well positioned to see demand returning to the levels experienced in 2019. |
