Abstract | The article explores the queer politics of homo/anti-normativity of Lesbians Who Tech, a corporate network for lesbian and queer women. Drawing from ethnographic fieldwork, I argue that critiques of ‘gay ordinariness’ are unable to capture extant ‘extra-ordinary’ trajectories of queer capitalist incorporation. I trace the ways in which corporate culture, leadership and values are currently reshaping queer life and politics in terms of a ‘CEO society’ to demonstrate that we should avoid assuming that anti-normativity is always on the side of the progressive and instead consider how this is taken up by the very institutions it is intended to contest. |
