TitleDigital Platform Regulation and AI Account Abuse
AuthorsWang, C.-A.
Description

In the contemporary digital environment, the proliferation of multiple account creation and management has become increasingly accessible to individual users. The emergence of artificial intelligence has substantially exacerbated the prevalence of automated bot accounts across digital platforms. Such AI-driven bot accounts are not only significant in their sheer volume, but are further distinguished by their sophisticated capacity to emulate authentic human behavioral patterns, thereby rendering their systematic identification considerably more challenging. This phenomenon has demonstrably contributed to the accelerated dissemination of harmful content and disinformation across interconnected platforms. Although online anonymity fulfills an indispensable role in preserving user privacy and safeguarding freedom of expression, users are obligated to uphold fundamental ethical and moral responsibilities.
