Dr Sacha Darke

My work has featured in the Independent, Guardian, Times Higher, BBC Brasil, BBC Mundo, Folha de São Paulo, Inside Time, Prisoners Education Trust and Insight Crime.

I have been a discussant on Global Journalist and TV Democracia. I have been invited to present my research and prison education programmes at the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, Brazilian National Justice Council, Lisbon Legal Forum, United Nations Library-Vienna, and the Institute for Crime and Justice Policy Research.

In 2023, I convened a convict criminology symposium at HMP Coldingley, HMP Grendon and HMP Pentonville prisons, and a fourth day at University of Westminster that included presentations from HMP Five Wells and from two APAC prisons in Brazil.
