Knowledge exchange is a key part of the purpose of the Fabrication Lab. We have led hundreds of tours of the Lab and introduced very many visitors to ideas around automated fabrication and embedded systems. We host fabrication events open to schools and the local community, as well as fabrication festivals involving universities and industry. We soon will be hosting FAB RES '23, an international conference and exhibition on maker spaces and technology in Higher Education for the Design, Creative, & Digital Industries, and next year will be running FAB FEST '24, an international fabrication festival and competition. 

Every week during the semester, the Lab also hosts The Exchange, an evening event series bringing together academics and our students with industry and professional practice.
