Principal Lecturer in FinTech & Course Leader for MSc Fintech with Business Analytics
Ann has over 20 years’ experience in academia, industry and consultancy practice. She is a Principal Lecturer at the Westminster Business School (WBS). Started her career as a researcher at the Barts and Middlesex Hospital before moving to industry as a Project Manager and analyst in a Pharmaceutical Company. Experienced in Product and Business Analysis, Data Science and Statistics. Lectures at undergraduate, postgraduate, as well as MBA and professional business courses.
Current research and teaching interests are in the rapidly advancing Fintech and Business Analytics fields. Has taught across all levels of business management and analysis, MBA and MSc Marketing & International Business Management courses. Currently she is a Course Leader of the MSc Fintech with Business Analytics Degree. Ann teaches core modules on Business Analytics and Managerial Data Analytics to Postgraduate students on master’s programs.
At undergraduate level her experience includes Module Leadership (ML) for; Core Business Statistics/Informatics module, Business & Financial Forecasting, Mathematics for Finance, Social & Market Research Methods, and Management Science. Subject areas she has taught combine contemporary theory with practical knowledge and skills gained in the use of Bloomberg as a teaching aid and use of statistical software packages such as SPSS. Scholarship and research interests are in Business Analytics and Financial Modelling. Ann has contributed to chapters and presented papers in these areas.
Over the years she has taken on a broad range of academic and administrative duties in higher Education, including roles such as Employability Director for the School, Partnership Development Research Role, membership of the University's Campus Academic Standards Group, Business, Developmental Leader and course leaderships at UG and PG levels.
