I regularly talk about the history and memory of the Second World War in the media, not least France24, BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio London. I was recently involved in BBC’s D-Day: The Unheard Tapes (2024) and Channel 4’s My Grandparents’ War (2022) to help contextualise the experiences of ordinary people during the war and the landings.
I also regularly collaborate with museums, most recently for the renovation of the Imperial War Museum’s Holocaust Galleries (2021) and the re-opening of the permanent Merci Train exhibit at the Arizona State Museum (2024). Thanks to a Westminster-Smithsonian Development Fund, I am currently working with the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History to curate an exhibit on transatlantic aid and gratitude in 2027-28.
