When engaging with the public Carl often applies Decolonial Methodologies in-order to understand or remove colonial thinking. An example of this is his research into Diversifying Advertising called #RacismoNeon. 

Carl engages regularly with the Mass Media, academic and industry conferences, publishing, and art exhibitions in order to reach communities in the UK, Canada, USA, Mexico, and Europe among others.
