Dr Anastasia Denisova

Anastasia Denisova is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism at CAMRI, University of Westminster. 

Her main research interests are: 1) climate change and the media, 2) viral cultures, 3) Internet memes. Anastasia has published widely in top academic journals, including Social Media+Society; Media, Culture and Society; Journalism etc. 

Dr Denisova undertook an extensive review of fashion coverage in the media, producing a policy brief Fashion Media and Sustainability (2021).

Her research on viral cultures has been published in book chapters and articles. Her widely cited book Internet Memes and Society was published in 2019.

She holds an MA in Media and Communications (City University London) and a PhD in Social Media (University of Westminster).

Dr Denisova is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy and a Board member of Westminster Papers in Communication and Culture.
