Centre for Social Justice Research work-based learning projects, 2023-26
I have worked to develop a series of unique partnerships with some of the UK's leading social justice organisations to provide internships and work-based learning experiences for Westminster students considering a career within the civil society sector. Over the course of a semester, students had the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and lifelong campaigners about the different aspects of their work, from media and communications, policy and campaigning, advocacy and the provision of support services. Over 130 students took part in these projects, which included collaborations with Inquest, Women in Prison, Campaign Against Arms Trade, the Association of Visitors to Immigration Detention, Future Hackney, and the Right to Food Campaign.
INQUEST heritage and memorialisation projects, 2023-25
Working alongside Dr Naomi Oppenheim at Inquest, I helped support two National Lottery Heritage Fund projects: Unlocking the Truth (2022-23) and Unjust Deaths (2024-25). I was able to involve Westminster students in various archiving, digitisation, research, and public engagement activities, and also served on Inquest's memorialisation working group, a collection of artists, activists, academics and people bereaved by state violence and neglect.
