Since receiving my doctorate in French from the University of Toronto, Canada in 2006, I moved to the UK where I teach linguistics and language history at the University of Westminster. I have previously taught (as an adjunct) at the University of Waterloo, the University of Toronto and Aberystwyth University.
My research focuses on language contact, specifically the role of Anglo-Norman (a variety of medieval French) in the development of the lexis of Middle French and Middle English. I'm particularly interested in medieval multilingual texts, and my recent research has examined glossaries and glossing in twelfth century manuscripts.
