Dr Anna Chronopoulou

I joined Westminster Law School in 2019 as a Senior Lecturer in Equity and Trusts, from Birkbeck College, University of London, where I studied for a PHD on the notion of neo-tribal sociality in the legal profession in England and Wales. My PHD research was funded with the Ronnie Warrington award. The notion of neo-tribal sociality features largely in my current research projects and publications on law and popular culture, lawyers in film, property law and popular culture and law and literature. Prior to my appointment with Westminster Law School, I held lectureships and research posts at a number of institutions in both the public and private sectors of legal education in the UK, Greece and Brasil.

I would happily welcome PHD supervision in the following areas that reflect my research expertise:

  • Law and Popular Culture, especially on  Middle Eastern perspectives
  • Lawyers in Film
  • Law and Literature
  • Property Law and Popular Culture

  • Centre for Law, Society and Popular Culture
  • Centre for Law Gender Race and Sexuality
