Dr Thanos Fragkandreas

I am a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) in Entrepreneurship at the University of Westminster and Associate Director at the Centre for Innovation Management Research at Birkbeck, University of London.

My work bridges innovation theory with philosophy and policy, often challenging conventional wisdom about how innovation impacts society and how we do research about it.

My research mainly focuses on innovation paradoxes, innovation systems, income inequality, and innovation policy, as well as philosophy and methodology of innovation studies.

I have published research in several international peer-reviewed journals, including Research PolicyEuropean Planning StudiesPrometheus, and the International Review of Sociology. I am also the author of a monograph on regional innovation performance in the European Union and the recipient of the NESTA Award for innovation studies.
