Catherine chairs the Sixty Two Group of Textile Artists, an international exhibiting group that was founded in 1962 to foreground and champion the potential of textile practices across fine art and craft-based discourses. She has extensive governance experience and is currently a Trustee for the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design (CHEAD) and the educational charity The Bridge at Waterloo. All of these roles involve advocacy for the arts, with a particular emphasis on the role of policy change to ensure wider access and participation in the creative arts
