Ms Anna Steiner


Anna Joined Westminster Law School in 2018 after teaching at the University of Law for 13 years. She is a Senior Lecturer in Law and Director of the University of Westminster Legal Advice Clinic.  Anna is a practising solicitor and holds an LLM in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice.  Anna is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) with a focus on Clinical Legal Education and Professional Legal Education. Before entering academia Anna practised at Islington Law Centre where she specialised in Housing and Education Law. Prior to qualifying as a solicitor Anna worked as an Immigration and Asylum Caseworker. Anna is one of the co-founders of the Windrush Justice Clinic  and a co-author of The Windrush Compensation Scheme: Unmet Need For Legal Advice

Anna has taught on a wide range of modules including Civil Litigation, Ethics, Immigration Law, Housing Law, Clinical Legal Practice, Legal Skills and Legal Practice Her current teaching responsibilities include:

·       Professional Practice

·       Practical Legal Research

·       Supervisor for LLM /LPC Dissertations
