Dr Paul Rekret
I deliver talks and artistic programmes internationally that draw on my research, working with major cultural institutions including Tate (UK), BAK (Netherlands), the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts (Canada), UnionDocs (USA), Beursschouwburg (Belgium), and the Museum of Modern Art (Poland). I have written for leading arts and culture publications such as Frieze, Art Monthly, and CURA, and I write regularly on music and culture for The Wire magazine. My work has also been featured in The Guardian, The Independent, Folha de S. Paulo, on BBC Radio 4, and in other international media.
In addition to my writing and public programmes, I have curated and produced events combining talks, sound and video art, and performance at venues including Café Oto and Camden Art Centre in London, and UnionDocs Center for Documentary Arts in New York. I also produce radio programmes on global sonic cultures for the independent London community station Resonance Extra and present a monthly broadcast of contemporary popular and experimental music for Threads Radio.
