Ms Wei Wang


Wei Wang is a Doctoral Researcher and Visiting Lecturer at Westminster Business School, University of Westminster. Her doctoral research examines the transformation of innovation ecosystems amid digitalisation and population ageing, with a particular focus on technological capabilities, institutional coordination, and policy integration in China.

Her research interests include innovation ecosystems, technology and innovation management, inclusive innovation, population ageing and digitalisation, and entrepreneurship and innovation.

Alongside her academic work, Wei brings over a decade of industry experience in SME management, e-commerce operations and international trade. This professional background complements her research and teaching by connecting academic perspectives with practical business experience.

Wei teaches across Levels 4, 5 and 6 at Westminster Business School, with teaching experience spanning business analytics, management and sustainability-related subjects, as well as dissertation and research-related teaching. She is also actively involved in the University’s doctoral research community, contributing to academic leadership, researcher representation and public and community engagement initiatives.

Doctoral Research: China’s Innovation Ecosystem Transformation in the Digital Age: A Study on the Role of an Ageing Society in China’s Ecosystem Reconfiguration for Socio-Economic Sustainability.

Examines innovation ecosystem transformation in China under population ageing, focusing on technological capabilities, institutional coordination and policy integration through an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design.
