Abstract | Grid systems are gradually shifting into a dynamic pool of services providing user access to heterogeneous resources spanning multiple security domains. In such systems, where it is necessary to share resources between potentially unknown parties, dynamic trust establishment becomes crucial factor for qualifying resources for selection. This paper argues that a reputation-policy based approach should be considered in order to provide complete resolution for dynamic trust establishment between Grid resources. The trust model presented in this paper introduces a novel paradigm for evaluating resources, as it allows subjective trust based resource selection to be based on client reputation policy statements. |
