Abstract | The aim of this paper is to investigate whether the extended use of a Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)contributes positively to the engagement of students in the learning process and whether this is consistent with a specific approach to learning and studying. The learning contextis the Global Campus project, a blended learning mode used for the delivery of computer sciences courses locally and overseas. As different levels of participation were found acrodd various locations, the results are discussed in light of findings that assess factors influencing distance students' learning. |
