Description

Staged in the setting of the Tower Tavern, this exhibition formed part of P.U.B. – Platform for Unwritten Books and was part of the London Festival of Architecture 2025. It brought together work from 21 students and alumni across the School of Design, Creative and Digital Industries (DCDI), transforming the disused pub into a shared space of storytelling, reflection, and speculation.

Curated around the theme of spaces of togetherness and the act of having a voice - whether human or object - the exhibition explored what it means to speak, be heard, and be held in collective space. Through drawings, models, texts, and installations, contributors gave form to unwritten books: unrealised ideas, private memories, speculative futures, and hidden narratives.

This curatorial experiment positioned exhibition-making as a mode of research, bringing personal and interdisciplinary practices into dialogue. Grounded in concepts of everyday heritage, the works foregrounded lived experience, material culture, memory and the social lives of spaces.

In activating a site marked by transition and closure, the exhibition offered a temporary platform for dialogue, recognition, and shared authorship, expanding the notion of what counts as knowledge, whose stories matter, and how meanwhile spaces can be reimagined and activated.
