| Abstract | This contribution analyses Regulation (EU) 2025/2518, which introduces additional procedural rules for the enforcement of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in cross-border cases. It examines the Regulation’s principal innovations, including harmonised complaint requirements, early resolution, simplified and standard cooperation procedures, procedural deadlines, access-to-file rules, and refined dispute-resolution and urgency mechanisms. The contribution argues that, while the Regulation strengthens procedural coherence and legal certainty, its practical effectiveness will depend on the administrative capacity of national supervisory authorities and on its interaction with the proposed EU Digital Omnibus reforms. |
