Description

Texture and Shape is an experimental sound design work exploring synthesis, sampling and audio manipulation as means of constructing sonic responses to evolving visual forms, textures and movement. Sound is closely synchronised with transformations in the image, investigating relationships between visual gesture and sonic morphology, and how changes in shape, density and motion can be interpreted through sound. The piece approaches audiovisual correspondence as a compositional process, using sound design to reinterpret and extend the qualities of the visual material.
