I am committed to making science accessible, engaging, and relevant to diverse communities. A central part of this work is coordinating the University of Westminster’s involvement in the annual Schools Science Conference, where I lead the design of interactive activities and demonstrations that introduce hundreds of secondary school students to contemporary research in imaging, metabolism, and data science. I also contribute to wider outreach initiatives, including events at several London schools, the Royal Institution, and the University’s Difference Festival, as well as earlier public‑engagement programmes with the MRC.

My research frequently attracts public and media interest, and I regularly contribute expert commentary to national and international outlets. Recent engagements include live interviews for BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour, BBC Radio Ulster, and the BBC World Service Newshour, as well as features in The Times, The Telegraph, The Independent, and Cosmopolitan. My work on body composition and metabolic health has been covered widely across global media, including Newsweek, Daily Mail, MSN, US News & World Report, MedicalXpress, and Aunt Minnie, with international syndication across Europe, North America, and the Middle East.

I have also contributed to public understanding of large‑scale imaging through commentary on the UK Biobank imaging milestone, which featured across BBC News, Sky News, The Guardian, and other global outlets. In addition, I have participated in podcasts and documentary formats, including the Bone Up Podcast, Sky TV’s The War on Fat, and BBC Horizon programmes such as The Truth About Exercise.

Across all of this work, I aim to communicate science in ways that are clear, inclusive, and grounded in evidence, helping to build public understanding of metabolic health, imaging, and the role of data in modern biomedical research.
