Description

New piece of work, commissioned by the ICA & B+B, examining the changing nature of real estate and arts provision in London, as part of 6 week group show. The piece featured a performance staged at the soon-to-be extinct Diorama Arts Centre, restaging the assassination of Native American Indian Chief Crazy Horse – to draw a parallel between the shrinking alternative arts provision in the capital, and the relocation of the Indians onto the reservation.

The performance featured David Medalla as Crazy Horse, and JJ Charlesworth, Lohan Emmanuel & Hilary Koob-Sassen as his assasins. And was screened at the ICA alongside an archive to the Diorama Arts Centre, and its activities since the late 70s in performance, black arts dialogues and alternative arts provision.
