Abstract | My fat is an affront to binary gender. I know that’s a bold opening statement, but a vague disclaimer is nobody’s friend. I’m not here to give you a run down of all the ways being fat makes being non-binary harder or different (different from what?), like the two things can be separated. No, I want to explain how my fatness is non-binary and how thinking of it like that helps me carve a livable life out of being things that I am frequently told should not and can not exist. |
