Abstract

Nyhedsartikler og personlige beretninger har de senere år synliggjort udfordringerne med blandt andet de- pression, stress og angst i den danske musikbranche. Skal de professionelle aktører på tværs af musik- branchen være med til at løse udfordringerne, kræver det en fælles viden om omfanget af problemet. Derfor har Musiklivets Partnerskab sammen med forskere fra University of Westminster i Storbritannien gennemført det hidtil største studie i Skandinavien af den mentale sundhed blandt skabende og udøvende danske musik- ere (herefter kaldt musikere).

Hovedkonklusionen er, at det står skidt til blandt mange af de danske musikere i Danmark. Deres trivsel er langt dårligere end den danske befolkning generelt. Mistrivslen er særligt høj blandt de yngre og ikke mindst kvindelige musikere.

Hvad er løsningen?
Undersøgelsen markerer første skridt i et langsigtet projekt. I projektets næste fase indkaldes relevante ak- tører til rundbordssamtaler, og med afsæt i forskningen skal de sætte retning for nye initiativer, der kan højne trivslen på tværs af branchen. Målet er langsigtede løsninger og strukturelle forandringer i branchen, som skal sikre den mentale sundhed blandt menneskene bag musikken.
