Description | Interactive and static sound design for National Trust property, Fenton House, Hampstead as part of Lives, Loves and Loss: Traces at Fenton House. The immersive installation explored the lives of the Gee family, former owners of Fenton House. Sound was used to help immerse audiences, provide an additional sense of the family living in the house and provide points of interaction. The sound was designed for each individual room and united as one complete soundscape in the attic, creating a cohesive sound design. Small pieces of interactive embroidery were created using a Bare Conductive Touch Board and conductive thread, adding an unexpected piece of interaction and encouraging the audience to look closer at the objects around them. |
